4/18/11 - My daughter Penelope has been accepted to William Jewell College and offered a scholarship as a vocal performance major, and she plans to visit the college this week before making her May 1 college decision. We would like to hear your views of the college from your vantage point as a distinguished alumnus of its voice program. She is an inexperienced but promising young soprano and is looking for a program as well as a teacher who is equal parts musically demanding and vocally nurturing (her words). Currently she coaches with baritone David Malis. Penelope would love to speak to you on the phone if that's possible. Her email is, and mine is Thanks very much!
